I hope everyone had a great weekend!  It was absolutely beautiful here again after a fairly cold week, so I spent as much time as possible outside hanging out with friends.  After holding out for a while, I finally took the plunge and jumped on the chambray wagon, by picking up a denim chambray shirt from Old Navy.  A lot of times, when I’m not sure about a trend or a piece, I try to buy into it cheaply to determine if I actually like it and then invest in a more expensive piece if I need it.  Hopefully this Old Navy version will hold up because I love it!

For me, most clothes have to serve a dual purpose (work and play) for me to justify them.  This shirt is surprisingly easy to style as I treat just like any other blue shirt.  I made it work appropriate by pairing with my new blazer from Loft and black pants (and of course, some state necklaces!).  I’ve already also worn it casually with black denim and can’t wait to find more ways to wear it.  I should have bought one of these so much sooner!!
