I hope your week is going well! I promised myself I wasn’t going to buy more pink and red to wear on the blog for Valentine’s Day, but I couldn’t resist this pink feather top! Especially since it is under $50! It would also look really cute with a pencil skirt if you wanted to dress it up. I’m grabbing dinner with friends on Friday (I didn’t even realize it was Valentine’s Day weekend…), and this pink feather top might have to make an appearance.
I’m one week into my goals and it is interesting how writing them down along with a plan makes you so much more cognizant of them and what is holding you back from reaching them. I’m definitely doing a better job or stepping outside of my comfort zone and I’ve realized that people (so far at least) are much less judgmental than I thought they would be! One of my goals that I haven’t been that successful with is to be more consistent on Instagram. I’m coming off a week long absence and it wasn’t for a lack of pictures! I found myself taking several pictures during the day and trying to find the perfect time to post (say 8PM). If it was after 8PM, I often let myself off the hook because I wanted everything (including the timing) to be perfect. My fear of not being perfect was/is holding me back from posting. Interestingly, enough it is also probably related to a fear of failure. It is funny since it sounds so silly when I write it down, but I guess that is part of this process of working to reach your goals.
Does this ever happen to you (even if it isn’t with Instagram)? I know that I need to just get over it and post the pictures I have! That is the goal for this week. Thanks for reading! I know I’ve veered off fashion quite a bit recently….

I enjoy hearing you talk about all the non-fashion stuff and how you are working through your fears and goals. The last two years have been big for me in terms of facing lots of fears to go for the things I want and live a fuller life. I think it gets easier each time because you find that when you do post that picture at 8:17…nothing bad happens. Maybe it gets 10 fewer likes that you hoped but that can happen even when you post right on time! You just go on to the next one and hope for the best. You can do it. :) And BTW, who wouldn’t love this top!? So cute!

I can totally relate to your fear of failure. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve not done something because I “think” it won’t work out the way I would like it to. It’s something we need to work on on a daily basis. We need to stop overthinking stuff and just do it! If we don’t at least try, we won’t know how it’ll end up. And the result could end up being very positive!
Love your top too! ;-)

Super cute looks for Valentine’s day. I think the soft pink & the feathers really make it that little bit romantic without going overboard.
