Happy Friday!  What are you up to this weekend?  I’m laying low after a little too much fun last weekend.

Do you ever feel like sometimes you are stuck in a fashion rut?  I have a pretty good idea of what looks good on me and I tend to stick to many of the tried and true pieces in my closet.  However, that leads to many several neglected pieces, like this Asos black maxi skirt with slits.  A black skirt isn’t that out of the box, but the slit on this black maxi skirt is much higher (and sexier) than what I normally wear.

In the spirit of shopping my closet and wearing some of those more neglected pieces, I decided to break out this black maxi skirt with slits for a girls wine night at Parish, a local restaurant.  Side note, if you are ever in Atlanta on the first Friday of a month, you have to try their wine tasting.  It is a great way to try new wines and a lot of fun (sometimes too much fun…)!  I added flat sandals to take away some of the sex appeal, but I can’t tell you how many compliments I got on this skirt.  I also received many Angelina comments as well due to the slit!

This may have been a small step outside of my fashion box, but it definitely isn’t my last.  And it probably isn’t the last time this Asos black maxi skirt with slits will make an appearance for a night out or summer date outfit.
