Happy Friday!!  I’ve been traveling a lot over the past few weeks and am actually really excited about being at home this weekend!  Don’t get me wrong.  I love traveling and exploring new places, but I’m finding that the more I travel, the more I appreciate coming back home to my friends and family.  I’m keeping it short today with a few of my favorite things from the last few weeks (plus a few of my favorite things that are on sale this weekend!!)

Napa and Portland: After spending the last week in these two places, I can definitely understand why my friends who moved West after college never came back. Both Napa and Portland are gorgeous places to explore and the food was amazing!  I will share more of my trip over the coming weeks.

Nars Tinted Moisturizer: I love all things Nars. Their concealer is amazing and their lipstick pencils are one of my absolute favorite products ever.  I think I have 5 or 6 of them in my purse.  I’m not a huge fan of foundation, but wanted something that would give my skin a more polished look every day.   I use this moisturizer and set it with a little bit of powder and my skin looks dewy (but not oily) and polished all day.

Quinoa bowls: I’ve been trying to eat healthier and now make a quinoa bowl almost every day for lunch. Even though quinoa is a grain, it is a good source of protein and fiber.  I normally add kale marinated in lemon vinaigrette, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado, and salmon to my red quinoa for a healthy and filling lunch.  This recipe is next one my list.

First Comes Love: I love (almost) everything Emily Giffin writes so I may be a little biased, but I really liked this book.  It examines the relationship of two sisters after the death of their brother.  I liked how the ending reflects life where all the pieces don’t come together in a neat bow.  The Girls is next on my list.  I’ve heard great things and can’t wait to have a pool day and curl up with this book.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: I know I’ve talked a lot about this sale over the past few weeks (probably along with every other blogger in the world), but I’m so excited that I can finally shop it as it opens to the public today! I have my eye on this vest, this bag, and this jacket.  I’ve also included some of my other picks below.
