I hope you had a great weekend! I went to a Galentine’s Day brunch with a a few friends yesterday. I didn’t know that Galentine’s Day came from Parks and Recreation, but I’m all for it. We should celebrate the amazing women and relationships in our lives every day, but Galentine’s Day is a nice excuse to grab your girlfriends and hang out. Of course our brunch ran late into early evening with lots of mimosas and girl talk, but it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday.
Given that, I thought it was only appropriate to ease into the week with my new favorite shirt which not surprisingly is striped! I’m always trying to find new brands that aren’t crazy expensive as I feel like I fall into the J. Crew/ Banana / Loft trap a lot. When one of my friends hosted an event at the Draper James store here in Atlanta, I knew I had to check it out. For those who aren’t familiar with Draper James, it is Reese Witherspoon’s new line. I was initially worried it would be too Southern and classic for me, but there are actually quite a few versatile pieces in the current collection. Also, they have a variety of price points.
I always try to buy something when I’m invited to an event to support the host. When I saw this Draper James stripe tee on one of the ladies working in the store, I knew I had to have it! Yes, I have too many stripe shirts, but the bell sleeves on this Draper James stripe tee are so cute! It is slightly heavier than a normal t-shirt, so it will be perfect to transition into spring. I wore this exact outfit yesterday with blue jeans and it was great for running errands around town.
I also picked up this short sleeve striped blouse and this skirt, both of which I can’t wait to share with you soon.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
