TRAVEL: After laying low for a month, I’m going to Sonoma next month. My friends were supposed to run the Napa to Sonoma half marathon, but they both have dropped out. Now we are just going to drink wine! My kind of trip, lol! We did Napa last year (here, here), but I’ve never been to Sonoma. I would love any recommendations!
FASHION: There are so many good sales going on right now!! I shared my Shopbop sale picks under $100 here. Ann Taylor and Loft are also have 50% this weekend and Banana Republic has 50% off sale items (no code). If I didn’t have a similar items, I would definitely get these sandals and these earrings! I tried on this dress and this skirt last weekend. I might have to break down and get them this weekend! See my favorite picks below. Save 50% off the prices below!
LISTEN/READ: This month has been a mixed bag in terms of books. Let’s start with the good. I finished the final book in the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy, “Rich People Problems“, which I loved it as much as the other books in the series. It is the perfect beach read! It follows the antics of an incredibly rich family in Singapore and the down to earth American unwittingly about to marry into the family. Her boyfriend never told her the truth about his family… I couldn’t put it down. My book club also read “Commonwealth” this month. I think I was the only one who didn’t love it… It was pretty good until the end, which is my pet peeve!
MISC: A lot of bloggers seem to be creating summer bucket lists recently. It feels like summer is slipping by so I might need to create one to make sure I enjoy the rest of summer! Have you guys created a bucket list? What is on it?
BLOG LOVE: I was planning to do a round-up of the best straw bags, but Whitney & Blaire’s straw bag roundup did a better job than I could have. I love that Blaire found a dupe for the Cult Gaia bag that everyone seems to have! On the travel front, I really enjoyed following along on Ashley’s trip to Greece. I’ve been to Greece before, but after seeing her post and The Londoner’s post, I need to bring Greece up on my list! Finally, I’ve been loving Gina’s Motivation Monday series. She recently posted about being assertive and strengthening her risk taking muscle, which is something I struggle with at time. It is a great reminder that stepping outside of our comfort zones is something that requires constant work.
I hope you guys have a great weekend! I’m planning to lay low, read this book, and maybe do a little to get ahead on my blog work.
