Happy Friday! What are you guys up to this weekend? I’m off to Seattle for a friend’s bachelorette party, which should be a lot of fun. This friend loves good food and wine so I’m sure the weekend will include some amazing meals.
One of the things that I’ve tried to do since starting this blog is step outside of my comfort zone. This blog itself is a huge step outside of my comfort zone. My clothing comfort zone lies in solid colors, so patterns and pattern mixing are a big departure for me. When Gina of On the Daily Express posted this skirt, I fell in love with it and felt inspired to try a little pattern mixing with it. Some bloggers (Erica of Casually Styled) mix patterns so well, but it isn’t something that I automatically think of. Anyway, I figured I would give it a try. I’m still not 100% sure I love it, as I think it photographed better than it looked in real life (Does that ever happen for you guys? I feel like it is always the opposite…). However, I decided to put it up and get your thoughts. I’m sure I will back back to one print at a time next week.
Are you guys good at pattern mixing?
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

I’m so excited that you posted this today! The timing could not be better because I posted about you getting this skirt! Haha! Thanks for the shout out and it’s funny, I know exactly what you mean about some things looking better in person vs. pictures. I am 100% adjusted to seeing pattern mixing on blogs. But I have only seen it once in real life! So I still haven’t stepped out of my comfort zone to try it, but you do look absolutely fabulous here. :)
