“How can you afford to always have new clothes on your blog?!” That is one of the most common questions I get from people about my blog. The truth is I can’t! I am the queen of remixing pieces from my closet to wear in different ways. I always try to think of a couple of different ways to wear an item before I buy it and/or what it will go with in my closet. I still have impulse buys of statement pieces, but the majority of my closet is easy mix and match separates.
I’ve decided to start a monthly feature showing some of the different ways I remix pieces in my closet. This month I’m sharing 3 different ways to wear a black sleeveless vest, one of the pieces I remix most frequently. The one above is from Zara and I recently replaced it with a black Express vest that I’ve worn here and here. At first, I wasn’t sure how to style a black sleeveless vest. However, I quickly realized that by pairing it with neutral items like black, white, and gray, I was able to make quite a few outfits with it. My go-to outfit is normally this black vest, a black top, and a black, white, or gray bottom.
In reality, this vest kind of goes with everything and has become one of the building blocks of my closet. It is an easy way to add a little bit of polish and visual interest to an outfit. I’ve worn it with jeans, skirts, and black pants for casual and dressier outfits and I love how it pulls an outfit together!

I love all your stylings of the vest – it really is an easy piece to add some polish to a look, especially when it might be too warm for a blazer!
