Happy Friday! We had a big conference at work this week, so I’m so excited to see the weekend! Do you ever feel like the finish line is in sight but you are running out of gas as you try to cross it? That is kind of how I feel. Let’s just say I’m really excited for wine, takeout, and catching on my DVR tonight. I fell behind in Scandal so I’m trying to finish last season so I can get to this season! I don’t know why I stopped watching, but I’m back in love with Olivia!
I found these pictures that I never published last year and realized they are so appropriate for the crazy weather we’ve been having. Spring has just been so unpredictable. 80s one day and down to the 50s the next! I don’t know about you, but once I’ve have a taste of spring, I only want to wear my spring and summer pieces, like this sleeveless green maxi dress. Wearing a denim shirt over a dress can be a great way to make a summer dress (or just a skimpier dress) more appropriate for spring or fall. My biggest tip on how to wear a denim shirt over a dress is to leave the last button at the bottom of your shirt undone. It makes it so much easier to tie your shirt like I did above if you leave a little tail! Wearing a denim shirt over a dress can also be a great way to make an dress more casual.
I’ve included a few of my favorite summer dress in the widget below.

I love this idea and I’m going to try it Monday for work! I have been looking at my summer and spring dresses and thinking about how much my wardrobe will expand once I can start wearing them comfortably! Yesterday I was inspired to layer a long sleeve shirt underneath one dress and now I’m inspired to layer my chambray over the top! Thanks for the tip :-)

so pretty (and I love that bag!) I have definitely tied a denim shirt over a dress, and with more casual dresses and sneakers I love to knot one around my waist as well. Lately I feel like I use it more as an accessory than a shirt haha.
And a resounding YES to trying to cross the finish line. I was ready for Friday on Wednesday haha.
Enjoy your weekend.
