I hope your week is going well!  I’m a big believer of creating a versatile closet where I can remix almost everything.  Getting that cost per wear down is something I love!  I pretty much refuse to buy a new piece of clothing or a pair of shoes unless it goes with a lot of different things in my closet.

One way to create a versatile wardrobe is to invest in basics that will last for years.  I found a few pieces from last year that I wore again and again that happen to be back this year.

  1. J. Crew Camel ruffle blazer: I didn’t realize just how versatile a camel blazer would be until I bought one.  This J. Crew ruffle blazer is a fun change of pace from a more traditional blazer.  You can wear it to work with black pants or pair it with jeans for the weekend.  The only downside is that it wrinkles more easily than I would like.
  2. J. Crew Tippi Sweaters: I’m a huge fan of these for transitional dressing.  I have the navy and leopard ones and they are so easy with jeans or under a blazer for work.  I always get so many compliments on the navy one!  I wash mine on gentle cycle with Woolite and lay flat to dry if you are worry about always having to go to the dry cleaner.
  3. Sam Edelman Yaro Sandals: Nude sandals are a staple in my closet.  They go with everything and make your legs look so long!  These are surprisingly comfortable (to me) as well!
  4. Steven leopard mules:  If you’ve read this blog for a while, you know I love leopard.  I normally wear heels, but these are a fun pop to any outfit when your feet need a break!
