Happy Friday!!
Do you ever have those days when you feel like crap and try to pull together a cute outfit that can make you feel great and like you might be able to take on the world? Whenever I feel like crap, I always try to dress up because it makes me feel better. This last month has been a slog at work as we worked to hit a deadline yesterday (which we did!!!), and there were some days I just felt like showing up in sweatpants after catching 4-6 hours of sleep. (I’m a 7-8 hour girl.) On those days, I would always reach for an outfit like this to make me feel better. There is something about looking great (and a big cup of coffee) that makes me feel instantly better. I sometimes would cheat and put a pair of flats in my bag though because the last thing my tired body wants is sore feet!
I loved the color scheme from this outfit last week so much that I decided to reverse it. I made this outfit a little more fun with a pair of fishnets that I’ve wanted to break out for a while. I’m sorry they didn’t show up that well in the pictures, but I love them and they keep the outfit from being too sweet. Also, I find nude fishnets a lot easier to wear to work than black one (and I work in a very creative industry!).
Now that we’ve finished this project, I’m going to take a long nap this weekend and try to recover from the lack of sleep over the last month! What are you guys up to this weekend? How do you make yourselves feel better when you really don’t feel like getting dressed for work?
Have a great weekend!

Love it!! I especially like the skirt and shoes!! As for me, I have a baby shower and a kid birthday party to go (*fun fun fun*).
You are better then me, when I not in a mood, it is really hard for me to dress up to get in the mood. I just straight up go causal (which as been me this whole week -_-).

I am the same way, dress up, wear lipstick and heels and suddenly I feel a little better. Love the color of the shirt and the detailing on the skirt. You look fabulous and sophisticated.
