Even though it is still so hot out, the September fashion magazines have me planning my fall wardrobe.  While the majority of the pieces in my closet can be worn year round (thank you mild Southern winters!), every season I try to update my wardrobe with a few key pieces.

If you are a long-time reader of the blog, you know that black jeans and my white blazer are two of my wardrobe staples.  This fall, I’m planning to update them with a a pair of lace up flats and a tie neck blouse.  They are near the top of my wish list since I can wear them to work AND on the weekends.  These Topshop lace-up flats are a great deal (and a great knock-off of these).  I just ordered them (and this under $50 pair) so fingers crossed they are comfortable!

Also, while I don’t see myself wearing a fringe top or skirt, a bag is one of the easiest ways to incorporate the fringe trend for fall.  This grey bag is the perfect neutral and a great way to try the trend before fully committing.
