Happy Friday! I’m so excited for this weekend. I’m off to Washington DC today to have a girls weekend with some friends from school. Good girlfriends are hard to find, but this crew has stuck together for a few years through thick and thin, kind of like eyebrows, lol! We met during business school and have seen each other through marriages, children, the stress of trying to figure out what we wanted to do with our lives (still working on that one, lol!), and loved ones’ illnesses. This is our first time together in a year and I know we will pick up right where we left off!
Here are some of the things that I’m loving this week.
Rasika: This is where we are having dinner tonight! I’m normally not the biggest fan of Indian food, but this restaurant is gorgeous (see pics here) and the food is delicious! I have to figure out how to make the fried spinach appetizer!
This candle: Target sucked me in again. I tried not to pick up anything from the latest collaboration (trying to be good!), but this candle got me when I was returning something. I don’t know why I always tell myself that I can just look and not buy something! The smell is wonderful for fall and not too overpowering.
This article made me laugh. I don’t have kids, but several of my friends have had kids recently (and I love Mean Girls).
I can’t stop raving about or sharing this recipe! My friends know that when I say “We should make this”, it basically means they should cook and I will bring the wine and good company. We’ve recently gotten into spiralizing so my friend made this zoodle recipe and I’m now hooked. I might even try to make it myself, which says a lot!
I used to fly twice a week for work. I always looked forward to my flights so I could get lost in a great book. I just downloaded The Girl on the Train for my flight today and hope it lives up to everyone’s recommendations!
I hope you have a great weekend!

Hi!
Happy I helped you make Fried Spinach :)
I need to get back to recipe writing – my blog has about a dozen or two draft recipes just needing photos.
