I hope you had a great weekend!  I laid low all weekend and re-read one of my favorite books, Edge of Eternity, and caught up with a few friends for a low key dinner.  It feels amazing not to have a jam packed weekend!

When I saw this Banana Republic maxi dress hit the new arrivals page a few weeks ago, I knew that it would be perfect for so many of the events I have coming up over this summer.  The name is perfect – Banana Republic Goddess Dress and it is so flattering.  The color is gorgeous (and it also comes is a rich cobalt blue that I may or may not have picked up over the weekend…) and it is a perfect blank canvas to dress up or down.  I also didn’t have to get it hemmed, which is always a bonus for us petite ladies.  Can you tell I’ve fallen in love with this dress?

I have a couple of weddings coming up over the next few months and this is the perfect spring wedding guest dress.  One of them is on a small island and this is the perfect maxi dress for a beach wedding since it would look great with a pair of flat lace up sandals.  Let’s just say, I’ve learned the hard way that heels and beach weddings don’t mix.  The slits are fun for showing off your shoes, which we all know are my favorite part of any outfit!
