And now for some pictures from the party!

I hope your week is going well! I’ve been burning the candle at both ends recently and it caught up with me on Sunday, hence no post on Monday. I’m sorry.
I don’t know about you but I love seeing all of the fun outfits at the Kentucky Derby. It is so much more exciting than the actual horse racing! When my friends invited me to a Derby Party this past weekend, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to wear a colorful hat or fascinator headband! I left buying the hat until the last minute (shocker!), but thankfully found this purple fascinator at Nordstrom (after visiting 5 stores and kicking myself for not ordering one online earlier in the week…). My hat was pretty tame compared to some of the other hats there. One lady wore a hat complete with a 1-2 ft tall feather and raccoon tail that she made herself… I’m totally should have grabbed a picture with her! Of course, I didn’t get any good outfit shots before the party, but I had to include some of the pictures of my friends as I love my friend, K’s red, white, and blue combo.
I also have to rave about the Sam Edelman sandals that I wore to the party. I got so many compliments on them and they still felt comfortable after standing at a day party and then going out dancing that night. I’m actually considering getting them in another color.
Have you ever been to a Derby party? Are you as into the fun hats as I am?
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

You look great for the Derby race as does your friend. Beautiful dress and fascinator – both colors compliment each-other so well, Nicole. I actually own a very similar fascinator hat in black!
I run a linkup on Thursdays. I would love for you to join me pretty lady. Your style is too good not to be shared so welcome by. Thanks and have a great weekend! Ada. =)
