Happy Friday!  I hope your week is going well.  It is hard to believe that it is September!  We normally have a few more weeks of heat but the weather has already started to turn cooler.  It has definitely made me excited for fall.  I’m already looking at the new arrivals and trying to figure what updates I want to make.  Since it is so early in the season, I’m not quite ready to splurge knowing that I have 3 more months of new arrivals ahead.

However, there are some great under $100 pieces that you can buy to incorporate some of the fall trends into your closet.  There are 3 fall trends that I’m really excited about.

  1. Dramatic sleeves are everywhere this season and I am waiting for it to get just a little cooler before I pick up this gray ruffle sleeve sweater.  It is so cute on, but runs a little big.  It will look great with black or navy pants for work or jeans on the weekend.  This is another great dramatic sleeve sweater option!
  2. Another big trend this fall is velvet and mules.  When I saw these wine velvet mules combining both trends I was sold!  The color is so rich and goes with almost everything.  I’m also hoping to find this pair under the Christmas tree (or at least a cheaper version before then!).  Mules + Poms = all the heart eye emojis!
  3. The final trend for fall that I’m very excited about is camo!  I have a camo jacket like this one and I’m always surprised at how versatile it is.  This would look great with a white shirt and black or gray pants for work or jeans on the weekend.  If the jacket is a bit much, this camo t-shirt is an easy way to try the trend.

And, I can’t leave without mentioning my new favorite work pants from J. Crew.  If you like a skinny pant for work, you should try the Cameron pant.  They are snug, so I might size up if you don’t want them that tight.  The fabric stretches and moves with you so comfortably.  And they are only $79!
