One quick thing before we jump into the fashion today.  Like most of you, I have been shocked and saddened by the devastation in Houston.  If you are still looking for ways to help/donate, The New York Times has a great list of organizations to donate to.

I hope you had a great holiday weekend!  I took Friday off so I had a 4 day weekend which was exactly what I needed.  I spent some time catching up with friends. reading by the pool (this very interesting history of the AIDS crisis in America), and just relaxing.  I also started watching the new season of Narcos.  It is so good, but a little too suspenseful for me!  I’ve hit pause so many times…  At this rate, who knows how long it was take me to finish, lol!

Anyway, enough about me.  J. Crew has been killing it recently.  I know I mentioned it over the summer, but I love their fall new arrivals even more than their summer pieces.  You may know that I love my blazers, especially those from J. Crew.  They always seem to update the classic blazer in chic, timeless ways that keep it from being anything but boring.

This camel JCrew ruffle chino jacket is a perfect example.  The ladylike ruffles are on trend, but not over the top.  I can seem myself wearing this jacket for years.  I’ve paired it here with an all black outfit (one of my favorite things to do), but I can also see it with stripes and jeans or just a white tank and black pants.  Something tells me this won’t be the last time I share this blazer!
